Dr. Johnson is a 2003 graduate of Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine.  She earned her Bachelor of Science degree at James Madison University with a concentration in Animal Science.  She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Virginia Veterinary Medical Association and the District of Columbia Academy of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Johnson grew up in a military family and has traveled extensively with her parents who were both officers in the army.  She has worked as a small animal veterinarian since graduation.  She lives in Chester with her husband Rodney, their two children Mya and Tyler, and their two dogs Fluffy and Paris.

In 2015, after practicing for several small animal clinics (stationary and mobile), she decided to found Dr. Johnson's Mobile Veterinary Service LLC, a HouseCall practice, with the purpose of providing loving and compassionate veterinary care at the comfort of clients' homes.
